Pallavi is Head of Absolute Return at Coronation and a portfolio manager across all strategies in this unit. She is also responsible for analysing South African equities. Pallavi joined Coronation in 2003 and has 20 years’ investment experience.

Marie is the economist at Coronation. She is a member of the Fixed Interest team and provides input to the broader investment team. She joined Coronation in 2014 and has 23 years’ experience as a market economist.

Prior to joining Coronation, Marie worked for UBS AG, First South Securities and Credit Suisse First Boston. Marie was highly ranked in a range of local and international analyst surveys while on the sell-side.

Simon is Standard Bank’s dedicated South Africa political economist, primarily serving the local and international corporate and institutional investor communities.

For the past eight years (2015 - 2022) Simon has been ranked first in South Africa in the Political Analysis category of the Financial Mail’s annual Ranking the Analysts Awards.

Azola joined Coronation in January 2019, bringing a wealth of experience across multiple roles in financial services. Before joining Coronation, Azola spent nearly seven years at a prominent JSE-listed company, where she played a pivotal role in driving strategy and overseeing investor relations. She started her career as an economist in 2004 and transitioned into asset consulting and multi-management, where she eventually assumed key responsibilities, leading manager research and heading up economic strategy.

Siviwe joined in May 2020 as fund manager. He has over 18 years’ investment experience, spanning research and management (including multi-management). Siviwe has spent the last seven years in business development and as a company executive, having transitioned away from pure investments. His key responsibilities included being an executive member of an investment committee, head of business development and executive head of operations.

Karl is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and manager of Coronation’s Houseview strategies. He joined Coronation in 2000 as an equity analyst, was made Head of Research in 2005 and became CIO in 2008. Karl has 23 years’ investment experience.

Neville is a senior member of the investment team with 26 years’ investment experience. He manages Coronation’s Aggressive Equity Strategy and is co-manager of the Coronation Top 20 and Market Plus unit trust funds.

Nishan is Head of Fixed Interest and responsible for the investment unit's process and performance across all strategies. He also manages all fixed interest assets. Nishan has 20 years' investment experience.

Suhail is a portfolio manager, managing various strategies within the Global Emerging Markets investment unit. He joined Coronation in 2007 and has 21 years' investment experience.

Anthony is a founding member and a former Chief Investment Officer of Coronation. He has 42 years’ investment experience.

Louis is a founding member and former Chief Investment Officer at Coronation. He has 33 years’ investment industry experience and is a key decision maker in the global investment team.

Charles joined Coronation in 2005 and is a portfolio manager across all strategies within the Absolute Return investment unit.  He also co-manages the Coronation Balanced Defensive and Capital Plus unit trust funds. Charles has more than 37 years’ investment experience.

Chantel Cooper is the CEO of the Children’s Hospital Trust, a nonprofit organisation that has contributed over R1 billion to child healthcare since 1994. With a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of women and children, she has dedicated her career spanning more than 25 years to various organisations with a shared objective. Following a successful term as director of Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust and then as Resource Development Manager of the St Joseph’s Home for Chronically Ill Children, she joined the Children’s Hospital Trust in 2013 as Head of Fundraising and Communications. She was appointed CEO in 2019.

The Children’s Hospital Trust is a nonprofit organisation that raises funds to support the advancement of child healthcare across the Western Cape and the Continent. Working in partnership with the Western Cape Department of Health and health facilities and UCT Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Trust has invested over R1 billion towards improving public health infrastructure, training specialist paediatric health workers, and enabling the establishment of child public health programmes, both within the RCCWMH and across Western Cape district health services.

Siya Xuza is the Founder and CEO of Galactic Holdings; an investment holding company focused on creating global opportunities through smart energy by developing and investing in innovative solutions to address the energy needs of emerging markets.

Previously, Xuza conducted research at the Harvard Center for Nanoscale Systems and the MIT Microsystems Technology Laboratories on microfuel cells – distributed energy that could be used to power remote and rural areas.  In 2013, his ground breaking work on micro fuel cells was published in the Journal of Electroceramics. Xuza was awarded a 2010 Fellowship to the African Leadership Network, the premier, invitation -­ only community of the most dynamic and influential leaders in Africa. In 2011, he served as the youngest member of the African Union -­ affiliated Africa 2.0 Energy Advisory Panel and was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper.

Xuza’s work has been recognised by the US First Lady Michelle Obama, the Nobel Foundation and the NASA affiliated Lincoln Laboratory which named a minor planet, "Siyaxuza (2312)", in his honour for a first place at the 2007 Intel Science and Engineering Fair. In 2017 he was awarded the Order of Mapungubwe, the highest honour bestowed upon a South African citizen, for his excellent contribution to scientific innovation at an early stage. Born in South Africa, Xuza holds a BSc in Engineering Sciences, from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University.

Tumisho is a portfolio manager and analyst within the Coronation investment team where he co-manages institutional portfolios and the Coronation Industrial unit trust fund. His research responsibilities extend across the retail, food producer andICT (information and communications technology) sectors. Tumisho has more than 16 years’ investment experience.

Sarah-Jane manages assets within the Coronation Houseview Equity Strategy. She also co-manages Coronation’s Houseview balanced strategies and has research responsibilities across a range of financial services and hospital stocks, among others. Sarah-Jane joined Coronation in 2008 as an equity analyst and has 19 years’ investment experience.

Sean is Lead Fund Manager for South Africa within the global institutional business team. He joined Coronation in August 2002 and he has more than 28 years’ experience in financial services. Sean’s career in the industry started at Alexander Forbes, where he worked in both the Negotiated Benefits Consulting and Consultants and Actuaries divisions.

Pranay joined Coronation in March 2005 as part of the institutional business team, and has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. His key responsibilities include servicing clients in across the full spectrum of Coronation’s local and international products.

Kirshni is one of the senior executives at Coronation and has been with the company for 20 years. She is part of the executive committee and has key responsibility for the global institutional business and product development. Prior to this at Coronation, she was part of the fixed income investment team and managed the Coronation Property Equity Fund. Kirshni is a qualified actuary and a CFA charterholder.

Kim  is an Investment Specialist within the Personal Investments Team. Her responsibilities include positioning Coronation’s retail fund range to clients; reporting and consulting on Coronation’s investment views; and assisting financial advisers with fund selection. Kim joined Coronation in 2012 and has 11 years of investment experience.

Amika is an Investment Specialist within the Personal Investments Team. Her core responsibilities include reporting and consulting on Coronation’s investment views and assisting financial advisers with fund selection. Amika joined Coronation in 2013 and has 16 years of investment experience.

Nicholas is Head of South African Equity Research and a portfolio manager within the SAinvestment team. He also co-manages the Coronation Resources, Industrial andMarket Plus unit trust funds. Nicholas joined Coronation in 2014 and has eight years of investment experience.

Pieter is head of the personal investments business. His key responsibility is to ensure exceptional client service through a combination of appropriate product, relevant market information and good client outcomes. Pieter has been at Coronation for 25 years.
