GRADUATE
DEVELOPMENT
One of the biggest challenges for young graduates in South Africa is gaining the necessary work experience needed to qualify for full-time employment. To assist students in this crucial transition period, we offer a comprehensive internship programme.
Coronation Internship Programmes
We offer 23-month internship contracts as well as other contract opportunities that are suitable for graduates wherever a need exists across various areas of the business. Our graduate opportunities are designed to develop a pool of qualified and competent specialists across different functions within our business. Many of our interns go on to be employed at Coronation. Visit our Graduate Opportunities job category for all available opportunities.
Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme
The Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme is a public-private partnership that funds students studying towards high-demand occupations. Funding includes tuition, accommodation, travel, books, meals and a stipend. In addition, universities provide students with academic support, social support, life skills training and medical support, when required.
Youth Employment Service Programme
We have partnered with ORTSA and developed a Youth Employment Service (YES) internship programme for early childhood development teaching assistants. The purpose of this programme is to train and mentor young interns as teaching assistants in pre-schools and Grade R classrooms both in the Western Cape and Gauteng. This programme is aimed at aiding teachers and supporting the learners. We hope that many of our interns will seek opportunities to follow a career in education post this internship.
Coronation Exceptional Student Bursary Programme
Our Bursary Programme identifies previously disadvantaged learners with academic potential who want to study commerce at any recognised university in South Africa. It is called the Exceptional Student bursary as these students show an incomparable level of grit and desire to change their personal circumstance and that of their communities.
Our bursaries are full bursaries that pay for education, equipment, travel and accommodation. Also, students are provided with coaching and mentoring, tutorial support, professional development and vacation work in preparation for the working world. Once the bursary students graduate, we endeavour to employ them at Coronation.
Excel@UNI administers our bursary. If you are interested, please apply here.
