Karl is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and manager of Coronation’s Houseview strategies. Karl joined Coronation in 2000 as an equity analyst. He became Head of Research in 2005 and was appointed as CIO in 2008. Karl has 22 years’ investment experience.
Economist at Coronation
Marie is an economist in the Fixed Interest investment unit. Prior to joining Coronation in 2014, Marie worked for UBS AG, First South Securities and Credit Suisse First Boston. Marie was highly ranked in a range of local and international analyst surveys while on the sell-side. She has more than 21 years’ experience as a market economist.
Head of Absolute Return at Coronation
Pallavi is Head of Absolute Return and a portfolio manager across all strategies in this unit. She also manages the Balanced Defensive and Capital Plus unit trust fund and has research responsibility for certain large capitalisation shares listed on the JSE. Pallavi joined Coronation in 2003 and has 19 years’ investment experience.

Leslie has been in the South African retirement fund industry for well over a decade, mainly in advisory and fiduciary capacities. He currently serves as Director of Batseta. Leslie was also a member of the Financial Sector Transformation Council’s Sub-committee that reviewed the transformation matrices for retirement funds and related sectors.

Jarred brings a wealth of experience and skill in the asset management and retirement fund industries, having founded RisCura in 1999. As CIO, Jarred ensures that RisCura’s global institutional client base receives optimal portfolio performance through investment asset class structuring specific to their needs.

Caroline is a qualified chartered accountant with technical expertise in treasury and significant experience in the energy sector. In addition to her role as chairman of the EPPF, she also serves in non-executive positions at Sun International and the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Her membership of various committees at the entities she serves ensures her knowledge is current and relevant.
